![]() The park is open year round, there are more than 370 areas that are important examples of our nations natural and cultural heritage. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the river, do some hiking, camping , hunting, horseback riding or just sight seeing. Big South Fork trails vary in both their length and degree of difficulty. These trails range from short day rides to long and strenuous loops that may take several days to complete. Tennessee Trails: Hatfield Ridge Loop : 9.9 miles, Magnificent overlooks of Charit Creek Lodge and Station Camp Gorge, Big South Fork River, Charit Creek Lodge. Steep descent into river gorge. Station Camp Creek Trail : 4.0 miles, Great trip along Station Camp Creek near old abandoned homesteads and the Big South Fork River. Some creek crossings. Station Camp East Loop : 12.8 miles, Old home sites, trailhead, rock shelters, Big South Fork River, wildflowers. Some steep climbs into and out of the river gorge. North White Oak Loop : 20.2 miles, Overlooks, forest, wildlife, old farmlands. Charit Creek Lodge Trail : 7.1 miles, Crossing of Laurel Fork Creek, Charit Creek Lodge. Jack's Ridge Loop 6.0 mile loop : Upland forest. Level to gentle hills. Duncan Hollow Road (to Station Camp Creek) 6.0 mile loop Abandoned farmlands, upland forests, Big South Fork River, Station Camp and Laurel Fork Creeks. Fork Ridge Road 4.5 miles : Wooded ridge top, 1930's logging railroad grade. Long Trail Varies with planned trip. Up to 40 miles. Long Trail is a long distance trail that can be ridden as a loop. Kentucky Trails: Laurel Ridge Road Approx. 6 miles : Upland forests, wildlife. Sheltowee Trace Trail : Upland forests, wildlife. Level to gentle hills. Long Trail Varies with planned trip.
